UPDATES: List of 25 States with Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria
Following President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to lockdown the country in order to battle the spread of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, twenty-five states so far and Abuja have been confirmed in Nigeria since the first case of Coronavirus disease was reported in Nigeria with at least one case.
Nigeria recorded its first case of Covid-19 after an Italian national tested positive to the virus on February 27.
As of Wednesday morning, April 22, Nigeria has recorded 782 cases, including twenty-seven deaths (one death in Ekiti and one in Borno).
The disease has caused the death of over 776,000 people globally.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, April 21, has announced the confirmation of another 117 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in the country.
NCDC made the announcement Tuesday night on its official twitter account.
With the new 117 cases, Nigeria now has 782 confirmed cases and 26 deaths of the Coronavirus disease.
A tweet on the NCDC’s official Twitter handle, said 59 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos State, 29 in the FCT, 14 in Kano, six in Borno, four in Kastina, three in Ogun, one in Rivers and one in Bauchi.

As at 11:25 pm 21st April there are 782 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
On Wednesday, April 22, Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of Adamawa, has confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19 in the state.
The number of discharged patients has increased from 188 to 197, while the total number of fatalities is 27.
Lagos has the highest figure with 430 confirmed COVID-19 cases; FCT has the second highest figure with 118 cases, while Kano has 73 cases.
