Two Nigerian Soldiers Test Positive for Coronavirus in Borno
Two Nigerian soldiers, on Sunday, March 29, have tested positive for Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in Monguno, Borno State.
The duo, who returned to camp after they were issued administrative passes, has been quarantined at Sector 3 Mission Headquarters for observation since Saturday March 28, 2020.
It is unclear if the Nigerian Center for Disease Control had tallied the newly recorded cases to the number of confirmed cases in the country which currently stands at 111 with one recorded death.
Meanwhile, Newsflash247 had earlier reported that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday evening, March 29, had announced the confirmation of another 14 news cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in the country.
NCDC made the announcement Sunday evening on its official twitter account.
With the new 14 cases, Nigeria now has 111 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease.
A tweet on the NCDC’s official Twitter handle, said nine of the new cases were recorded in Lagos State and five in Abuja.
“Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos and 5 in FCT.
As at 09:30 pm 29th March there are 111 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.
“As at 09:30 pm 29th March, there are 111 confirmed cases 1 death for a breakdown of cases by states.
Currently; Lagos- 68 FCT- 21 Ogun- 3 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 7 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Osun-2 Rivers-1 Benue- 1 Kaduna- 1.”
