Bandits Attack Buhari’s State Transport Bus, Kill Driver And Abduct Scores Of Passengers

Gunmen suspected to be armed bandits have attacked President Muhammadu Buhari’s state transport bus, Katsina State Mass Transit (KTSTA), killed the bus driver on the spot and abducted scores of passengers.

Newsflash Nigeria understands that the 32-seater Coaster bus was on its way from Jibia to Katsina loaded with most traders on their way from Jibia Border Market.

An eyewitness disclosed that residents of Daddara village near the scene of the attack said the vehicle was attacked at around 12noon on Sunday.

At the time of filing this report, the state Police Command was yet to confirm the incident.

Meanwhile, the Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA), has called for the immediate sack of the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno for failing the nation.

The speaker of the group, Mohammed Salihu Danlami in a statement called on President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve Babagana of his duties.

Danlami lamented the state of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack pointing to the viral video of the abductees being flogged.

The statement read: “As the victims of the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna bound train marked 120 days in captivity, it was celebrated by the terrorist through a released video depicting how they (victims) are being molested.”

The group insisted that the non-performance of state actors led to the invasion of Kuje Maximum Prison, Abuja which has led to the release of numerous criminals.

The group said it has observed that the insult to the country’s supremacy wouldn’t have been possible if the National Security Adviser, who is supposed to guide Mr President had not run out of ideas.
