BREAKING: Ekiti records one new case of Coronavirus, total now 12
Ekiti state on Monday, May 4, has recorded another one new case of the Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 12 and one death.
In a statement released by the State Commissioner of Health Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, saying, one (1) new COVID-19 positive case, as confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
She said that the new case is a female, who entered Ekiti State during the lockdown, from Katsina State. Her purpose was to visit her husband, a military officer, who resides in Oye-Ekiti.
“When he noticed symptoms of the COVID-19 infection, he alerted the Taskforce, and samples were taken from her for testing. The test result returned positive to #COVID19.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Ekiti State to twelve (12), of which nine (9) are active, two (2) discharged, and one (1) death.”
