The trial of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, has commenced without him in attendance.

The CJN is on trial for a six-count charge bordering on alleged failure to declare his assets.

The CJN is represented by a team of lawyers led by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN). 47 out of the lawyers are Senior Advocates of Nigeria.
