Student Detained By EFCC Dies After Release In Edo
A student of the Ambrose Alli University, AAU, Ekpoma, Edo State, has reportedly died shortly after his release from EFCC custody.
According to reports, the 22-year-old student identified as Austin Isaiah, was allegedly wrongfully arrested by operatives of the agency and detained for about two months in their custody before regaining freedom.
He was allegedly released because he fell sick while in the custody of the EFCC.
It was gathered that he never survived it. He died on Monday, July 22, 2019, and his friends have taken to social media to express their sadness about his loss and bitterness against the anti graft agency.
While reacting to the sad news, Nigerians decry the rate at which the citizens of the country are being maltreated by the constituted authorities and how living in Nigeria can be likened to living in hell
“Living in Nigeria should be included in 1000 ways to die. Everything is trying to kill you from the moment you wake up till you sleep. If only the family and friends will sue EFCC joining the A.G. of the federation to get justice and not only get consolation online. This need to stop. My condolences” a social media wrote
