Speaker Bars Ekiti Assembly Member From Entering Complex

The Chief Whip of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Sunday Akinniyi popularly known as ‘Gbosa’ representing Ikere Constituency 11 was yesterday barred from entering the Assembly Complex on the order of the Speaker of the State Assembly, Right Honourable Kola Oluwawole.

The embattled Lawmaker has lately been having a running battle with the governor since his son, Busuyi Akinniyi was disqualified by the State governor, Ayodele Fayose during the just concluded councilorship and chairmanship primary election conducted at Government House, Ado-Ekiti.

Sources at the Assembly Complex revealed that Hon. Samuel Omotoso, Hon. Dayo Akinleye and Hon. Dare Pelemo was said to have instructed the security men within the complex to stop Hon. Akinniyi from entering the Complex and his office henceforth.

The Source further disclosed that Governor Fayose had directed Hon. Omotoso and Akinleye to suspend Hon. Akinniyi from attending any meeting of the Assembly men including parliamentary meetings.
