Sokoto Rerun: APC reduces Tambuwal’s lead in Sokoto
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Amuni Waziri Tambuwal is neck and neck in the race with his main challenger, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu.

Results from 21 local government areas have been announced out of the 22 LGAs were the supplementary elections took place. The APC led in 14 while PDP claimed 7 LGAs.
From the results announced, the APC polled 18, 342 while PDP polled 16, 987, leaving a difference of 1, 355.
