Six soldiers kill, others missing as Bandits attack the military convoy: Police confirm
The Taraba State Police Command has confirmed that six soldiers have been killed while a Brigadier General still missing during a Tuesday’s attack on a military convoy in Taraba.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Usman Abdullahi confirmed the development to newsmen in Jalingo.
Abdullahi told journalists that the Brigadier General and his convoy were attacked between Takum and Tanti village along Takum-Jalingo Highway.
“Yes, a Brigadier General’s convoy was attacked yesterday in Takum along Jalingo highway.
“Six soldiers were killed in the attack and the Brigadier General as well as other soldiers who were on the convoy are missing up till now” the PPRO confirmed.

The confirmation comes after earlier reports that gunmen suspected to be terrorists have killed at least six army personnel attached to the 93 Battalion, Takum, Taraba State in an ambush.
The men of the Nigerian Army were killed in Tati village around 6:30 am on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the gunmen ambushed the troops, killing six soldiers, while a lieutenant colonel identified as ES Okore (N/11717) was “missing in action” amid fears that he had been abducted.
