Senate Pass 2019 Budget, Adds Extra Figures

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed the 2019 budget presented to it by President Muhammadu Buhari in December 2018.

Igbere TV correspondent at the Assembly Complex reports that the sum of N86 billion was added to the N8.83 trillion proposed by Buhari. This brings the budget to a total sum of N8.916 trillion.

The budget was passed after Senator Danjuma Goje, Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriations, presented a report on the floor of the House Tuesday afternoon.
