After retiring from football, Rashidi Yekini was living alone in his mansion in Ibadan, Oyo state in which he isolated himself from all family members.
Many of his family members in his town Irra in Kwara state had the thoughts that the late Super Eagles star was insane with claims that he used to burn money and his properties.
According to the Legit.ng who exclusively chat with lawyer Jibril Olanrewaju stated that his former client and friend was not insane stressing that his mother and other siblings ganged up to kidnap him.

”Before they eventually succeeded in abducting Rashidi Yekini, they had tried three times in which my client called me immediately and I took police there to save him.
”They later found their ways to take Yekini to an unknown place with his mother the head of the people who forcefully abducted him.
”I’m challenged about Yekini’s death because I believe strongly that he was murdered by those marabouts the family engaged to abduct him with the help of his mother,” legit reports.
The Ibadan based lawyer also revealed that Rashidi Yekini married four wives when he was alive and he is survived by only two daughters.
”Rashidi Yekini is survived by only two daughters namely Yemisi and Yemi and may the soul of my dear friend rest in peace,”.
While rounding up, Jibril also challenged the Kwara state government to fulfill the promise they made years ago on immortalizing Yekini by renaming the Kwara state stadium after him.
