Residents of Offa and Ilorin in Kwara state have thrown their weight behind Senate President Bukola Saraki as they called on the Federal Government, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris not to politicize the robbery incident.
The protesters who had placards bearing inscriptions in support of the Senate President kept chanting ‘Sai Saraki’ .
In Ilorin, Some youths also staged a protest over the indictment of Saraki by police in Offa robbery. They were also pictured with placards with various inscriptions like ‘Saraki is not an armed robber’ and more
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Police indicted Bukola Saraki in the ongoing investigation regarding the robbery incident.
Saraki has denied any involvement in the crime stating that the police is out to embarrass him.
