The Lagos State Government has expressed its deep condolences to the family and fans of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, who died under mysterious circumstances.
The Government said it shares the pain of losing such a talented and promising young man who rose to fame in the music industry. It prayed that God would grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his loved ones.
The Government also said it is determined to unravel the truth behind the death of MohBad and bring anyone who may have been involved to justice.
It said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the Lagos State Police Command to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and report their findings regularly.
To enhance the investigation, the Governor has also invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the probe and collaborate with the Police.
The Government said it expects the DSS to use its inter-agency network and best-in-class technology to assist the Police in uncovering the facts.
The Government appealed to anyone who may have useful information or evidence that can help the investigation to come forward and cooperate with the authorities. It assured them of confidentiality and protection from any harm or intimidation.
The Government also urged all friends and fans of MohBad to remain calm and avoid making any statements or actions that could inflame the situation or prejudice the outcome of the investigation. It said that respecting the process and allowing it to run its course is the best way to honor the memory of MohBad.
The Government further asked that the family of MohBad be given space and privacy to mourn their loss in peace. It said that this is a difficult time for everyone who loved and admired MohBad, and that they should support each other in grief.
The Government commended the Police and the DSS for their professionalism and diligence in handling this sensitive case. It said it expects them to update the public on their progress periodically.
