Rector Warns Poly Students Against Social Vices
The Rector of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, Engineer Idowu Ologunagba, has warned all the newly matriculated students of the institution against involving in acts that violated the rules and regulations of the school.
The rector said that acts, such as gangsterism, cultism, hooliganism, lesbianism, examination malpractice and other social vices, that were detrimental to the image of the institution and the society at large, would not be condoned by the school and any student caught indulging in them would be sent out of the institution.
Ologunagba, who spoke at the 25th matriculation ceremony of the institution, noted that the polytechnic was known for discipline and would not compromise its standard.
He said, “As fresh students, you must have observed that the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic is a highly disciplined community.“
He also enjoined the students to key into the peace-promoting and development- friendly culture at the institution.
