2023: Buhari’s media aide endorses Tinubu for presidency
The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on Wednesday endorsed the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that Tinubu declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election during a visit to Aso Rock.
The former Governor of Lagos State since his declaration has received support from politicians, traditional rulers and some groups.
Ahmad on Wednesday joined other Nigerians who have openly declared their support for the APC leader.
President Buhari’s aide declared his support for Tinubu while responding to a question posed by a Twitter user.
A Twitter user identified as Sylva White had asked, “Bashir, I want to ask you a question and same time with an honest reply without being biased. Btw Tinubu and GEJ, who would you prefer to take over from your boss? You also want the best for us too.”
The presidential aide in his response said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu!”
Meanwhile, President Buhari on his part disclosed that he would not reveal the identity of his preferred candidate to protect the politician from being killed.
