Premier League Referee, Bobby Madley Quits

Bobby Madley has quit his position as a premier league Referee just one game into the new 2018-19 Season “due to a change in his personal circumstances”.

The 32-year-old was set to become one of Europe’s leading Referees and was appointed to the FIFA list in January.

Madley missed the opening weekend of the season and it has now emerged he has quit as a referee and relocated after a change in personal circumstances.

Professional Game Match Officials Limited announced Madley’s decision to step down in a short statement.

In a statement, PGMOL said: “Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL.

“We understand that he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances.”

Madley has overseen 91 Premier League matches since 2013.

He officiated 19 Premier League matches last season and also the 2017 Community Shield.
