Police, ‘Yahoo Boys’ engage in gun battle in Ogun

The city of Sagamu, the headquarters of Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State is in chaos as men of the Nigerian Police and youths popularly known as Yahoo boys are currently engaging in gun battle.

An eye witness said trouble started when some of the yahoo boys took to Ita Oba to collect the corpse of one of their colleague’s girlfriend who was allegedly shot dead by the police last night.

According to a witness, the police had allegedly shot the lady dead while trying to arrest one of the yahoo boys.

Areas like Ajaka, Makun, Awolowo market are no go area as the police and the yahoo boys shoot indiscriminately at each other.

As at the time of writing this report, no casualty has been recorded.
