Senator Kwankwaso’s supporters have been arrested by police in Kano for burning brooms.
Last week, a former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his supporters gathered in their numbers as they burnt brooms to show solidarity with the senator.
According to a Facebook user, Labarun Siyasa, a group of Kwankwaso supporters were recently arrested for burning brooms. The broom is a symbol of the ruling party, APC.
This development is coming a week after Ex-governor of Kano state and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso decamped from the APC to the PDP.
