The late Queen Elizabeth’s coffin left Balmoral for Holyrood Palace on Sunday.

The coffin was accompanied by Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence.

The wreath on the coffin features Dhalias, Sweet Peas, Phlox, White Heather, and Pine Fir from the Balmoral Estate.

Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that Buckingham Palace on Saturday announced the date for the burial of the late Queen Elizabeth.

Buckingham palace revealed that Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will take place on September 19, 2022.

Recall that Britain’s long-reigned monarch, Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 96 years.

In a statement released on Saturday, Buckingham Palace said the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will hold in London at 11 am on Monday, September 19.

The late monarch’s coffin will lie in state in Westminster Hall starting on Wednesday, allowing the public to pay their respects.

The Dean of Westminster or the Archbishop of Canterbury, the senior bishop of the Church of England, is expected to lead the service.
