PHOTOS: Car upturns as driver falls asleep in Lekki
A driver escaped unhurt after his car literally flipped after he fell asleep behind the wheels.
Facebook user, Odega Shawa, who shared photos from the accident scene, quoted the driver as saying, “I fell asleep. My seat belt saved my life.”
The accident happened along Admiralty Way in Lekki, Lagos early on New Year’s Day.
Shawa warned drivers to be extra careful during this season, saying, “Lots of long hours driving this period.
“Be careful. Always have your seat belt on. If you feel sleepy, park somewhere and doze – and get chewing gum.”
