The 2023 House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe, Mohammed Bukar, popularly known as Tero is dead.
Newsflash Nigeria understands that Tero died on Saturday morning after battling a protracted disease.
The deceased was hoping to represent Damaturu, Gujba, Gulani and Tarmuwa Federal Constituency in Yobe State when death knocked on him.
The politician died at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu.
Bukar was the immediate past General Manager of Yobe State Water Corporation before venturing into politics.
The deceased is survived by three wives and fourteen children.
Meanwhile, the Yobe State Governor and former caretaker committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Muni commiserated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and family members of Bukar over his death.
Represented by his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, at the burial of the Muslim faithful moments ago, Governor Buni prayed to God to forgive Bukar’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdausi.
A funeral prayer was held for the late politician at Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre, Damaturu.
Joining the host of others in sympathizing with the family of the deceased, Yobe State Water Corporation took to its social media page, Facebook to mourn Bukar.
Its message reads: “With total submission to the will of Allah (S.W.T), we announce the death of Comrade Mohammed M. Bukar, Former General Manager Yobe State Water Corporation. May Jannatil Firdausie his final abode”, the Corporation posted.”
