PDP governor backs Buhari over development in Nigeria
An opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governor, Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state has backed Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari over development in Nigeria.
The outgoing Governor Dickson said the president Buhari does not play with anything that has to with development in Nigeria.
Dickson disclosed this while reacting to the alleged refusal of the Nigerian aviation authorities to issue the operational license for the Bayelsa airport to commence operations.
He said Buhari does not have a reputation for pettiness to play politics with the development of the country.
The governor disclosed this on Saturday in a statement by his chief press secretary Fidelis Soriwei.
According to him, the president would direct necessary action on the issue when it is brought to his attention.
He added that problem being encountered is as a result of the attitude of some overzealous officials of the ministry and parastatal.
Going further, he added that the officials are politicizing, a purely developmental issue at the behest of primitive APC officials.
Meanwhile,Newsflash247 had earlier reported that the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, asked questions concerning the N100 billion airport project by Governor Seriake Dickson.
The amount is said to have been approved and spent on the construction of the runway for the state’s airport.
