Outgoing President Buhari Compares Nigerians to His Cattle and Sheep, Says He Prefers the Latter
President Muhammadu Buhari, who is set to hand over power today, has revealed that he will have to reduce the number of cattle and sheep in his ranch in Daura, Katsina State, because he will not be able to afford their feed.
Buhari, who ruled Nigeria for eight years, said he prefers to deal with his animals than with Nigerians, who are harder to control.
Buhari has often stated that he plans to retire to his hometown and look after his cattle after leaving office.
At a pre-inauguration Gala Night on Sunday, Buhari reiterated his intention to go back to his ranch and spend time with his cattle and sheep.
He said: “I am looking forward to tomorrow to fly to my base to go and meet my cattle and sheep, which are much easier to control than fellow Nigerians. But I have to reduce their number, because I cannot save enough to buy them feeds.”
