Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost the Government House polling unit in Osogbo to Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the governorship election score sheet for Agowande/ Oshogbo GRA/ Governor’s office polling unit in Olorunda Local government prepared by Assistant Polling Officer (APO1), Nwachukwu Henrietta Chidinma, PDP scored 117 votes while APC got 106 votes.
Other parties and their scores are Accord Party 2, APM 1, PRP 1 and SDP 1.
Senator Ademola Adeleke also won his polling unit.
He won with 218 votes.
Senator Adeleke voted at Unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North.
His major contender, Governor Gboyega Oyetola polled 23 votes while Dr Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord Party has one vote.
Meanwhile, Bisi Akande, a chieftain of the APC, won his polling unit for the ruling party.
In Akande’s polling unit in ward 04, Isedo, Ila-Orangun LGA, the PDP polled 117 while APC had 140 votes.
The APC also secured victory in the polling unit of Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior.
Although the minister, a former governor of the state, failed to show up for the election, his party fought off the PDP to emerge victorious.
APC’s Oyetola polled 164 votes in the polling unit situated in Isare Ward 8, Ilesha East, to defeat PDP’s Adeleke who secured 134 votes.
