Osun Rerun: Adeleke, Oyetola Know Fate Tomorrow As 2,598 PVCs Collected In 7 Polling Units

The two strong candidates of Osun State governorship election, Prince Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Alh.Isiaka Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress, APC will know their fate ahead of the governorship rerun scheduled for  Thursday, September 27.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared last Saturday’s election inconclusive.

Ademola Adeleke of the PDP had polled 254,699, while his closest challenger, Isiaka Oyetola of the APC had 254,345 votes.

With 128,049 votes, Omisore placed a distant third.

Although all the 48 political parties will partake in the exercise, the contest is between Adeleke and Oyetola.

The rerun will hold in seven polling units across four local government areas — Orolu, Ife North, Ife South, and Osogbo.

(1) Osogbo Ward 5, Polling Unit 17, Registered Voters 888, PVCs Collected 667

(2) Orolu Ward 8, Polling Unit 1, Registered Voters 393, PVCs Collected 303

(3) Orolu Ward 8, Polling Unit 4, Registered Voters 387, PVCs Collected 353

(4) Orolu Ward 9, Polling Unit 3, Registered Voters 169, PVCs Collected 150

(5) Ife North Ward 10, Polling Unit 2, Registered Voters 353, PVCs Collected 320

(6) Ife South Ward 7, Polling Unit 12, Registered Voters 812, PVCs Collected 581

(7) Ife South Ward 8, Polling Unit 10, Registered Voters 502, PVCs Collected 210
