Onnoghen: Protesters Against Buhari Storm Channels TV, Waiting For Osinbajo

The suspension of CJN Walter Onnoghen has continued to generate reactions from different quarters.

Some protesting angry Nigerians stormed Channels TV to wait for VP Osinbajo so as embarrass him with their protests.

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was scheduled to have an interview with Ebuka on Rubbin Minds today.

But it was canceled.

The cancelation was made public by Laolu Akande, VP Osinbajo’s spokesman, who in his tweet on Sunday afternoon disclosed that his boss will not be appearing on Channels Television‘s ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ because of campaign issues.

Laolu Akande tweeted:

“Sincere apologies that VP Osinbajo can’t make ‘Rubbing Minds’ this afternoon on Channels TV. “Being a live programme, the exigencies of campaign timing make it impossible for VP to appear on show as scheduled today. We’re working with producers to reschedule his participation ASAP.”

However, a Nigerian Twitter user, Tochukwu Onuchukwu, claims VP Osinbajo ran away from Channels TV due to their protests. He wrote:

“Osinbajo ran away from #RubbinMinds because of small protest .

I repeat; they are cowards!!! They locked up @adeyanjudeji because they fear him.

Weldone @Chydee and everyone that came out in Lagos.

If we all come out tomorrow for a nationwide protest, the Tyrant will bow!”
