NUC Gives Green Light to Bamidele Olumilua University for 33 New Courses
The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI) has received approval from the National University Commission (NUC) to commence 33 new courses across various faculties.
The NUC communicated the approval in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Victor Adeoluwa, on Monday.
The letter said that the programmes were approved after a verification visit by a panel of experts to assess the human and material resources available for their establishment.
The letter read: “The Vice-Chancellor is please invited to recall that a resource verification visit was carried out by panels of experts to some proposed academic programmes in Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology with a view to assessing the human and material resources available for their establishment.”
The approved programmes are:

The Vice Chancellor of BOUESTI, Prof. Olufemi Victor Adeoluwa, expressed delight over the approval, saying that it was a testimony of the commitment of the institution to academic excellence and innovation.
He said that the new courses would provide more opportunities for prospective students to pursue their dreams and aspirations in various fields of study.
He also thanked the NUC for its support and guidance, as well as the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, for his vision and investment in education.
He urged the staff and students of BOUESTI to uphold the highest standards of teaching, learning and research, as well as the core values of the institution.
BOUESTI is a state-owned university established in 2020 by an act of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. It is located at Ikere-Ekiti, about 40 kilometres from Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The university aims to generate, disseminate and advance knowledge in science and technology with a view to finding solutions to the major challenges facing society and the world in the 21st century.
It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various disciplines, such as education, arts, science, engineering, agriculture, health sciences, management sciences and environmental sciences.
