The Department of State Services (DSS), has invited one of the conveners of the #NoMoreBloodShed protest in Kano, Zainab Nasir Ahmed.
Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that some youths have taken to cities in northern Nigeria on Friday to protest the killings in the region.
Some of the protesters carried placards saying, ‘#NoMoreBloodshed’, ‘Mr President, we need your attention, ‘Northern Nigeria is bleeding’.
According to reports, the protests are held simultaneously in Bauchi, Kano, Abuja, Zamfara and Sokoto States.
The protest was organized to draw the attention of the government over escalating insecurity in the North, following the gruesome killing of over 42 travellers in a bus in Sokoto.

Meanwhile, the Department of State Services (DSS), has invited Zainab Nasir Ahmed, one of the conveners of the #NoMoreBloodShed in northern Nigeria.
It was gathered that Zainab Nasir Ahmed was invited on Friday evening as a result of the protest that was held in five states in the north over escalating insecurity in the region.
Ms Ahmed confirmed the invitation to newsmen on Friday, saying she was on her way to honour the invitation, Daily Nigerian reports.
“They just called me on phone and told me that my attention was needed at the DSS office as a result of the protest we held today. I am on my way to honour the invitation as a law-abiding citizen,” Ms Ahmed told Daily Nigerian.
