Google Ads, AdSense Confirmed Reporting Delays

Google Ads and Google AdSense are having reporting delays. Google has confirmed the delays with the Google Ads (formerly AdWords) platform saying “Reporting Issue – Google Ads reporting for April 30 and May 1 (Pacific Time) is incorrect. We will update this message when the issue is resolved and the data is corrected.”

Also, Google Adsense reports that Some metrics for May 1 and May 2 have been delayed. We are working to fix the issue. There is no impact to ad serving or payments

With that, I also see tons of complaints from Google AdSense publishers about their earning reports being delayed. It is probably related but I don’t see a confirmation from Google on the AdSense reporting issues yet. Here are some of the complaints:

My earnings haven’t received any update for the past 3 hours or so. The daily earnings amount (ie. Today So Far) got stuck at what it was 3 hrs ago. My traffic is perfectly normal. Anyone having the same problem? I’m hoping Google experts could shed some light on this. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With tons of others echoing this message.

Delays in updates are quite common. It will sort itself out.

In any event, this is a known issue and they are likely related – it should sort itself out at some point. Just know, you are not alone here.

Update: Google posted another message on their Google Ads developer blog:

On May 1, at approximately 5pm PST, a bug caused Google Ads reporting for April 30 and May 1 (Pacific Time) to be incorrect. This bug impacts reports in all Google Ads interfaces, including any report data downloaded via the AdWords API, Google Ads API and Google Ads Scripts.

We are actively working on fixing the bug and correcting the data. Metrics reported for May 2nd will also be delayed until later that morning PST.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Update: Frank from AdSense confirmed the AdSense specific issue in the Google AdSense Help forums saying “We’re sorry, data in your AdSense reporting is delayed. Your metrics for May 1 and May 2 may be affected. Our team is working to fix the issue. There’s no impact to ad serving or payments.”
