No Coronavirus Patient in Ekiti – Fayemi Reveals
Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday afternoon, has announced that there is no Covid-19 patient, otherwise known as Coronavirus in Ekiti.
Fayemi made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on his official twitter account.
He said Ekiti state’s COVID19 patient has been discharged and has no coronavirus patient at its isolation center.
He tweets:
“Thanks to our resilient health workers, Ekiti state’s #COVID19 patient has now been discharged. With this, Ekiti State has no coronavirus patient at its isolation center. #COVID19Nigeria”
Also, the State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade said the State #COVID19 index case and the caregiver have been discharged from the State Isolation Centre today. The index case is on his way home after testing negative twice since admission 12 days ago.
“The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade and a UNICEF team member escorted the State #COVID19 index case and the caregiver to the waiting ambulance”.
“UPDATE: Ekiti State #COVID19 index case and the caregiver have been discharged from the State Isolation Centre today. The index case is on his way home after testing negative twice since admission 12 days ago”.
Meanwhile, Newsflash247 had earlier reported that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday morning, March 31, has announced the confirmation of another 4 news cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in the country.
NCDC made the announcement Monday evening on its official twitter account.
With the new 4 cases, Nigeria now has 135 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease.
A tweet on the NCDC’s official Twitter handle, said nine of the new cases were recorded in Lagos State and five in Abuja.

As at 11:15 am 31st March there are 135 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths”
