APC crisis deepens as Obaseki orders Oshiomole’s arrest
Following the crisis rocking the Edo chapter of the All Progressives Congress, state governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration has called for the arrest of the embattled the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.
Obaseki, who represented by his deputy, Phillip Shuaibu for submitting a petition to the Inspector-General of Police, and Department of State Services, DSS, for the arrest of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
The petition claimed that the APC National Chairman had consistently breached the peace of Edo State by ignoring lawful orders of constituted authorities
He also wants the national chairman prosecuted by the security agencies.
Oshiomhole, a former governor of the state is accused of constantly disobeying the State government’s orders.
Deputy Governor of the state Philip Shuaibu, confirmed the development in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
The Deputy Governor, however, stated that the Edo ex-Governor is still his father, adding that their present differences did not change that fact.
The former governor was instrumental to the emergence of Obaseki but fell out with the governor shortly before he declared his re-election bid.
