Nkechi Blessing’s Ex-lover, Falegan Apologises To Actress

Ekiti politician, Opeyemi Falegan, has publicly apologised to his ex-lover and popular actress, Nkechi Blessing, a few weeks after their controversial split.

In June 2021, Blessing and Falegan made their relationship public.

But last month, the politician widely assumed to be her husband announced their separation.

The actress had accused Falegan of being jobless. Since their split, the pair have been in the public eye, occasionally engaging each other in a war of words.

In an interview with Daddy Freeze, the media personality, on Tuesday, Falegan admitted that he “messed up”.

The politician said he should have handled the situation amicably, adding that he still loves the actress.

“To my ex, Nkechi, please no vex.. I know how it feels, having a guy you have shown the world as the love of my life and husband and all of a sudden, the guy messed up, no vex. In fact, if I could kneel down now, I would do that,” he said.

“I agree that I messed up to some extent…I wanted to forge ahead but maybe I didn’t do it in the best possible way. I’m very sorry. From my heart, I still love you but let bygone be bygone please.”

Reacting to the apology via her Instagram stories, Blessing slammed the politician.

The actress claimed Falegan apologised to her so that he can remain relevant.

“E be like say madness dey run for some of una family, na so so rubbish una dey post now.. Una see person wey don dey become irrelevant trying to stay relevant again una dey help am promote trash….” she wrote in pidgin English.

She also wrote, “I wish he’s using the clout for something meaningful other than having useless girls slide into his DM… make nobody tag me to trash abeg!!!”

Though she didn’t categorically state who she was referring to in the post, it is pertinent to note that she gave the warning shortly after Falegan apologised to her.

Later, Nkechi Blessing shared a picture of herself and the said ex on her Instagram story, she noted that she was still friends with him because he kept shut after they broke up.

Nkechi captioned her latest post, “The type of ex you can be friends with. The one who keeps shut after a breakup”.
