Nigerians Hail Prof. Osinbajo’s Humility as He Travels Without Security
Nigeria’s former Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, has received praises from Nigerians on social media for living a modest lifestyle after leaving office.
Many Nigerians said that his life was an exemplary demonstration of humility and simplicity.
This was triggered by a post made on X (former Twitter) platform on Saturday, November 4 2023, by the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu, who shared a testimony of an unnamed source about his wife’s encounter with Prof. Osinbajo at the Detroit Metro Airport, Michigan, United States of America (USA).
The source was amazed that the former VP, who only left office six months ago, had no security or orderlies around him.
He commended Prof. Osinbajo’s humility and his simplicity, which was evident in the way he interacted with his wife at the airport.
Dele Momodu’s post reads, “Former VP, less than 6 months out of office, at the Detroit Metro Airport, no security, no orderly, na him carry him back (bag) all by himself like any other traveller, my wife didn’t even recognize (him) until he showed is (his) Nigerian passport. Respect.” Unidentified Author.
The post generated a lot of positive reactions from Nigerians on X, who described Prof. Osinbajo’s simplicity as God’s gift and advised other past politicians to emulate him. Some of the comments are:
