Nigerian Graduate Puts Up B.sc, NYSC Certificates For Sale Over Poverty
According to the certificates posted on Facebook, Ochie had graduated from the department of Political Science, UNN with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division, 2-1) in 2010 and issued his certificate in 2011.
Joseph Ochie, a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu State, has put up his degree and NYSC discharge certificates for sale on social media, due to his inability to find a job in the country.
According to the certificates posted on Facebook, Ochie had graduated from the department of Political Science, UNN with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division, 2-1) in 2010 and issued his certificate in 2011.
He completed the mandatory NYSC service in 2012, which he started in the year 2011.
Ochie who said certificates don’t work in Nigeria, stated that he’ll burn them if no one buys them.
On Ochie posted on Saturday, August 30, 2020, he put up his Bachelor of Science (B.sc) and National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) certificates for sale.
He said “Certificate for Sale or I burn Them. They don’t work in Nigeria”.
According to him, the reason behinds his decision to either sell or burn his B.sc and NYSC certificates is because both certificates are worthless and do not guarantee a job in Nigeria.
