She explained that the payments were delayed because of the need to verify and audit the actions of the previous NASIMS administrator. She said that this was necessary to ensure that the payments were done correctly and transparently.
She added that her team was working hard to complete the verification process as soon as possible and that the payments would begin shortly. She said that the stipend payment was a sign of the government’s commitment to helping its citizens during tough times.
She also announced plans to revamp N-Power and other government programs to improve support for families, create more job opportunities, and reduce poverty in Nigeria. She said that she was determined to ensure fairness and prosperity for all Nigerians.
She urged the N-Power beneficiaries to be patient and optimistic as they awaited the official announcement of when the payments would start. She said that she would provide more updates on this important step that would make a big difference in the lives of many Nigerians.
N-Power is a youth empowerment scheme sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It aims to address the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large-scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development in four key sectors: Education, Agriculture, Health and Vocational Training.
N-Power Batch “C” beneficiaries have been facing financial distress and hardship as they have not received stipends from January to July 2023. This has prompted them to seek urgent intervention by writing a letter to President Bola Tinubu expressing their concerns.
