NDLEA 2023 recruitment exercise to begin on Sunday …See how to apply

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the commencement of its 2023 recruitment exercise for qualified and interested Nigerians.

According to the statement on Friday from the agency on the recruitment, the online application would be open for four weeks from Sunday 12th March to Saturday 8th April 2023.

The NDLEA is a federal law enforcement agency in Nigeria under the Federal Ministry of Justice charged with eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs. The agency was established by Decree Number 48 of 1989.

The statement signed by the NDLEA Director of media and advocacy, Femi Babafemi directed interested persons to click https://www.ndlea.gov.ng/ to the recruitment portal and complete the application.

NDLEA required the following from the applicant:

  • Passport Photograph
  • Education Certificates
  • Certificate of State of Origin
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identity Card
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

After successfully applying online, candidates must print out their generated photo slips as well as download two referee forms which must be completed and brought along for the screening/interview stage of the recruitment exercise.

The statement added that applicants must be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.

Candidates applying for the role of “superintendent cadre” must not be less than 20 years or more than 35 years while the age limit for “narcotic agent cadre” and “narcotic assistant cadre” is 30 years and not less than 18 years at the point of entry.

The statement, however, noted that persons over 40 years applying for the role of “medical doctors” and “articulated vehicle drivers” will be considered.

“Medical and allied professionals must possess current practising licences while lawyers must have been called to bar,” the statement reads.

“Applicants must be drug-free and also be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

“Applicants must use their personal email address and phone numbers when submitting their applications online.”
