N-Power Beneficiaries to Receive Nine-Month Arrears in November as Scheme Gets New Name

The federal government has announced that it will start paying the nine-month arrears owed to the beneficiaries of the N-Power scheme in November.

The scheme, which aims to provide skills and employment opportunities for young Nigerians, has also been renamed as the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme (RHJCP).

This was disclosed by the National Programme Manager of the N-Power, Akindele Egbuwalo, on Monday during a meeting with some N-Power beneficiaries.

He said that the payment would be done in installments and that the funds have been recovered from the existing payment service providers.

According to a statement signed by the national communication manager of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), Jamaluddeen Kabir, Egbuwalo said that the new name of the scheme reflects the government’s commitment to empower the youth and create more jobs in the country.

He also assured the beneficiaries that the government would continue to support them with training, mentoring, and access to finance. He urged them to make good use of the opportunities provided by the scheme and contribute to national development.
