Mummy “Calm Down” Video: Boy Got An Ambassadorial Deal With Foundation As Sanwo-Olu Reacts
On Monday July 27, a video surfaced the internet has shown the moment a little boy went down on his knees to beg his mom after offending her.
The Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation and the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, July 29, have reacted to the viral video of a young boy telling his mom to calm down as he was about to be punished.
On Monday July 27, a video surfaced the internet has shown the moment a little boy went down on his knees to beg his mom after offending her.
The little boy was seen in the video crying and begging his mom to ‘calm down and rest a little’ before taking any action against him.
After some minutes of begging to no avail, he went down on his knees and continued bargaining with his mother, in order to escape the punishment.
His mom stood her ground, insisting that she was going to flog him despite his excessive plea.
However, the video didn’t reveal if he was later punished or pardoned.

In the reaction, Governor Sanwo-Olu said he was “moved by the boy’s sobriety” as the boy begged for one more chance as a “regular offender”.
“He said that the video showed that parents put in a lot of work to raise their kids as he added that he hoped that the mother really “calmed down” as the boy asked.
“The governor used the opportunity to tell Lagosians to calm down during this festive period as they mark the 2020 Sallah celebration with the consciousness of protecting themselves against Covid-19.
“He also said he would like to meet the boy.

“I saw a video of a charming young boy online asking his mom to ‘calm down’ as she was set to punish him for a misdemeanour. I was moved by his sobriety, which reflected in his promise of “last chance”, when confronted with the fact that he is a regular offender”.
Also, the President of the Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation, Chief Dozie Kaidi Obiaku said the foundation would like to enjoin the general public to help us get to the boy in the viral video and we would love to make him an ambassador.
“We, the president, (Chief Dozie Kaidi Obiaku), members and trustees of the Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation would like to enjoin the general public to help us get to the boy in the viral video.
“We would love to make him an ambassador.
“Every violence in the world could be avoided if we learnt to calm down.
“We have adopted ‘Calm down’ as a key mantra now and we would love to bring the boy in as one of us.
“Please help us find him. Thank you”.
