Mob Kills Fake Gun-Wielding Robber in Lagos

A suspected armed robber met his end at the hands of an angry mob in Olugboso area of Agege, Lagos State, last week.

The robber, whose identity is unknown, had broken into the apartment of a resident named Victor, and threatened him with a toy gun.

However, Victor fought back and raised an alarm, attracting the attention of the mob.

The mob overpowered the robber and beat him to death. They also found a pair of scissors on him, which he probably used to break into the apartment.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Sunday. He said that the corpse of the robber has been taken to the morgue, while Victor is recovering in a hospital.

He also said that investigation is ongoing to ascertain the motive and identity of the robber. He urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.

The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with residents calling for the government to do more to protect them from criminals.
