Mama Taraba Escapes Assassination

A former Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan (Mama Taraba) escaped assassination in Taraba bye-election.

Senator Aisha Alhassan who resigned her position two weeks ago in order to contest the 2019 governorship election.

On Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted the bye election into Takum 1 constituency, Taraba State House of Assembly where the former minister was attacked and attempted to be assasinated.

Hon Hosea Ibi, representing Takum 1 constituency, was abducted in Takum on Dec 31, 2017 and murdered by his abductors in Jan. 2018.
