Lagos Assembly speaker reveals next move against Ambode
The speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa, on Tuesday, October 15, said that the next line of action against former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is to order his arrest through court process.
This is coming after Ambode, alongside his commissioners for finance, Akinyemi Ashade and commissioner for special duties, Oladejo Seye, failed to appear before the committee of the House which is probing his administration.
Although Ambode and his commissioners had written to the House that their absence was due to the fact that they travelled out of the country, Obasa said that a public notice of the House’s invitation will be sent to him.
Newsflash247 has earlier reported that the former governor was under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This was as officials of the anti-graft agency were seen around Ambode’s residence in the Epe area of the state in September 2019.
