Close to 3000 delegates across the state are expected to determine who flies the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ticket in 2019 Governorship race.
The contenders are Jimi Agbaje who was the party’s candidate in 2015 and Adedeji Doherty who had been seeking the ticket since 2007 without success.
The two aspirants insist that this is the best opportunity for the party to win Lagos at the general poll.
Other leaders of the party including Bode George and Koforoworola Bucknor say Lagos residents are ready for a change of government from All Progressives Congress, APC to PDP.
According to them, the choice of APC’s candidate, Babajide Sanwo-olu is anti-democratic activities.
Meanwhile, the process has been rowdy, characterised with security breach as party supporters have broken into the barricades.
It is not yet clear if the exercise will be concluded though about 8 local governments have voted out of 20 local governments.
