Senator representing Kogi West constituency in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, on Friday reacted to the resignation of the Speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly, Umar Ahmed Imam.
According to him, the leadership crisis that played out in the Kogi House of Assembly recently could be likened to the replacement of a sold Rolls Royce with a tricycle popularly called Keke NAPEP.
Melaye said that very soon the truth behind crisis rocking the state legislature will be out and the will of the people will prevail.
He said: “Kogi state House of Assembly sold a Rolls Royce and bought Keke NAPEP. What a pity!
“Very soon lies will expire and truth will prevail. The people will eventually win. Kogi will be great.
“Those who believe in truth must hold unto it for it is most rewarding.
“Kogites don’t despair, weeping may tarry till night but Joy cometh in the morning.”
