Kano Youths “celebrating” Twitter ban in Nigeria
Following the president Muhammadu Buhari led- federal government announced the suspension of Twitter in the country, the Kano youths have allegedly stormed the streets in their thousands to celebrate the Twitter ban in Nigeria.
The Youth said they were told Twitter is the name of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents that committed adultery in southern Nigeria in 1930.
The viral photo of the youths allegedly triggered their jubilation as circulated on social media.

Newsflash Nigeria had reported that the Federal Government had on Friday announced the suspension of micro blogging and social networking service, Twitter, in the country.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed made the announcement during a press conference.
He cited the persistent use of the platform for activities capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.
Also, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) declared that any Nigerian still making use of the banned platform would be arrested and prosecuted by the government.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has dared the Federal Government, shared the information on Twitter after the FG banned platform.
Mr El-Rufai tweeted on Sunday evening.
