Mrs. Aisha Bello, accountant-general of Kano state, has tendered her resignation.
It was gathered that Bello sent a resignation letter to Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Thursday.
Before making her accountant-general, Ganduje had appointed Bello as commissioner of budget and economic planning.

Recently, she was investigated by the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission for the alleged arbitrary release of the fund without the governor’s approval.
Sources said the panel which probed her cleared all the allegations levelled against Bello.
She was said to have quit office as a result of “undue interference” in her duties by some people who were closed to the Governor.
