Jonathan, Africa’s Most Pragmatic Leader –Babangida
Former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has described former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as one of the most pragmatic politicians ever produced in the African continent.
In a message released by his media centre yesterday in Minna on former President Jonathan’s 61st birthday, General Babangida said:“President Jonathan has set a record as one of the sitting Africa leaders to concede defeat in a national election.”
The former military leader lauded the commitment of former President Jonathan to the principles of democracy saying that he is worthy of emulation.
He commended former President Jonathan for writing his memoirs, “My Transition Hours’’ as part of his birthday activities.
General Babangida also congratulated the former President on behalf of his family, and wished him happy birthday and more fruitful years ahead.
