BREAKING: Stella Effah-Attoe, PDP National Woman Leader, Dies

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the death of its National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, who passed away on Sunday.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, issued a statement expressing the party’s grief and sorrow over the loss of Effah-Attoe, whom he described as a “trailblazer for women’s rights” in Nigeria.

Ologunagba said that Effah-Attoe was a “remarkable woman” who excelled as a teacher, politician, author, and activist.

He said that she was a “fearless mobilizer” who championed the cause of truth, justice, equity, and fairness in the country. He also praised her for her “energy, passion, and resources” that she devoted to advancing the rights of women in Nigeria.

Ologunagba also acknowledged Effah-Attoe’s “tireless contributions” to the PDP’s vision and mission to rescue, rebuild, and redirect Nigeria from misrule. He said that she worked closely with other PDP leaders to rebrand and strengthen the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The PDP extended its condolences to Effah-Attoe’s family, the people of Ikun in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, the academic community, the Cross River State Chapter of the PDP, and the people of Cross River State. The party prayed for the repose of her soul and urged Nigerians to emulate her legacy.
