I won’t allow killer Fulani herdsmen to overrun Ondo – Gov Akeredolu
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has vowed not to allow criminal herdsmen to infest his state.
This is as the South West Governors’ Forum chairman reiterated his commitment to protecting the life of the citizens.
Newsflash Nigeria reports that Akeredolu’s statement was coming following the incessant killings and kidnapping of citizens of the state by suspected herdsmen in the Northern senatorial district within the last one month.
Receiving the representatives of Auga Community, led by their traditional ruler, the Alauga of Auga-Akoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye, in his office, Akeredolu vowed to bring to justice the killer herdsmen terrorising some communities.
Akeredolu lamented the continuous attack on farmers and their farmlands, especially those in the border towns.

The governor assured residents of more security presence in the affected areas.
He also urged residents of the state to be prepared and report suspected criminals to security agencies on time, saying his administration will “not allow killer herdsmen to overrun the state.”
Speaking earlier, Oba Agunloye lamented the security situation in the communities in the Northern senatorial district.
He, however, commended the governor for the various developments across the state.
