I commissioned over 1000 projects in Ekiti within three years – Gov Fayemi

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, revealed that his administration has commissioned over one thousand (1,000) projects in the state within the last three years.

Fayemi stated this while rendering his account of stewardship at the Ekiti State House of Assembly hallowed Chamber as part of activities to mark his third anniversary in office.

The Governor explained that the projects which cut across all sectors of the economy and the sixteen local government areas of the state were part of his resolve to ensure that he leaves Ekiti better than it was and ensure that it becomes a commercial hub.

Fayemi added that very soon his administration would launch the installation of a 4.5 megawatts power station to complement the ongoing installation of CCTV cameras across the state towards guaranteeing a safe environment for investors.

He expressed concern over the poor state of Ado-Akure road saying the state would continue to engage the federal government to ensure that the contractor handling the project fast track the level of work on the route.

The Governor restated that almost all abandoned projects by his predecessor have been completed while the few others have been receiving attention and would be completed before the end of his government to sustain the rapid development of the state.

He promised to continue to promote the welfare of workers and their condition of service to motivate them for optimal performance in line with world best practices.

The governor affirmed that the government had recorded a lot of gains in the agricultural sector and much more efforts were still been put to boost agribusiness so as to create wealth opportunities, jobs and improve food production towards making Ekiti the food basket of the country.
