Gunmen abduct APC Deputy Chairman, Daughter
On Wednesday night, some gunmen have abducted the Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Shuaibu Idris, in the Zaria area, Kaduna State, alongside his daughter.
According to the family source said that the gunmen stormed the residence of the politician around 8pm on Wednesday and took him and his daughter away.
The source said the suspects, numbering about 10, arrived Idris’s residence located along Zaria-Kaduna Road in two cars with dangerous weapons.
He said their whereabouts remained unknown as the abductors had not established contact with the family.
Meanwhile, APC Chairman in Kaduna State, Retired Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada, confirmed the abduction on Thursday.
According to him, the party’s deputy chairman and his daughter were abducted in the night from their house located at Kwanar Zango along the Zaria-Kaduna Expressway.
Jekada described the incident as unfortunate, adding that the party was making effort to secure the release of the APC chieftain and his daughter from their abductors.
However, the police authorities in Kaduna have yet to confirm the incident.
